Overall Prize
The overall winner was Dean Spurdens (A gentleman in his thirties) who won with a very gracious Victoria Sponge. Dean won a SuperCook Speciality Ingredients Hamper, a silicon bakeware set from Peter Maturi, a pinny, and a meal for 4 people at the Gatehouse in Kirkstall. He also gets to:
- Spend time in Boutique’s commercial kitchens with their top chef: Paul Rowntree, turning his recipe into something that can be sold day in day out from the Tiled Hall Café in Leeds Art Gallery and the Gatehouse in Kirkstall.
- Attend the launch of the cake and the calendar in November 6th at the Tiled Hall Café in the Art Gallery, Leeds.
- He also receives ten calendars to give to friends and family in time for Christmas.

and chefs since 1899 no less! We wonder, did Peter ever meet Charlie?
Leeds based company SuperCook, yes that well known brand for sprinkles, food colourings, hundreds and thousands etc have kindly put together some rather special goody bags for the 12 winning contestants from their luxury cake range! How lovely is that?

Leeds Building Society sponsor the Rhinos and have donated a family (2 adults and 2 children) ticket to the first home game of the new season!
Local Armley Lettings Agency He-re donated the First prize for Ellie Fletcher of Borders gift vouchers to the value of £50.00 and Nearly First Prize of a pottery throwing workshop with Sally Bradley to Dan Fletcher. Thanks Maria!
Not only helped raise funds with their wonderful tea and coffee at our refreshments stand, which raised a fair few funds, but also awared the near winner of the Grown Up's category- Jessica Duffy a splendid hamper of Tea, Coffee, Chocolate and a super dooper cafetierre too! It was so big Jessica will have to pick it up on the 6th November
Lynne's Cake Decorating Shop on Armley Town Street
Lynne kindly donated a children's baking set, some gift vouchers and 2 cinema tickets which we will be awarding to certain winners on the 6th November! She tirelessly judged on Saturday before heading off to create more cakes!
