Tricia Stewart (Miss October - the Original Calendar Girl)

We are delighted to welcome Tricia as one of our esteemed judges, as she has made time to support our calendar in a continuingly hectic schedule.  For more information about the work of the Calendar Girls visit their website

mik artistik

Mik Artistik (Armley Legend)

Eccentric, daft, lovely, unique. Catch his recent ROCK FM YouTube rendition of "Window Cleaner" Counting  fans such as Keith Allen who loved his recent performance at Glasto we are lucky to have him come and eat shed loads of cake!

Update! 'Seperated Man' topped the charts at Rock FM last week, and the visiting Stereophinics were so impressed they pondered if Mik might support them at one of their gigs! It should be the other way round, they should be Mik's support!

 Nathaniel Griffin (Aged 7)

Last year Nathaniel was the winner of the under 16 category in the first ever Charming Armley Calendar Competition. His picture of St Batholomew's was stunning and a deserved winner. Let's hope that his role as a judge brings him more

Jude Abbott (Chumbawamba)

Jude is a singer in Chumbawamba and lives here in Armley. She has kindly offered to come and eat lots of cake - what more could we ask for?

John Battle MP (Leeds West)

John will be judging the competition with one hand on the fork, the other steadying his crutches, as he fell from a ladder recently (and no, Gordon did not push him). He is not a big fan of chocolate cake, but please don't let that influence you, because we are!

Lynne from Lynne's Cake Craft

Lynne's emporium on Armley Town Street is literally full to bursting, as you can see from the picture. From floor to ceiling the space is rammed with all sorts of decorating goodies! Lynne also decorates cakes for all occasions and is therefore well placed to know a pretty one when she sees it. Call 0113 231 9018 if you have any cake decorating needs, as there is no website

Mac McLean and his son Oscar

Mac is the vibrant property developer and entrepreneur who turned the old West Leeds High School into the spacious and swanky (for Armley) Old School Lofts. His company Citu develop sustainable and ecological living spaces. We think he has his fingers in other pies too, including Loft - a cool furniture company. We will grill him over a slice of cake on Saturday for you!

Brooke Nelson (Chair of Armley Common Right Trust)

Yes Charlie Cake Park is looked after by a veritable band of good hearted citizens who can be bothered to get out of bed at the weekend and keep this, and other common ground, clear of dog poo, litter, needles and what's more they weed and plant too. If you fancy rolling up your sleeves, we understand there is a healthy glow to be attained and good company down the pub after too! Brooke is the benevolent Chair who keeps everyone motivated!
